Welcome to Zimbabwe! After a ground transfer from the airport, settle into the Sunshine City at Highlands House in the leafy suburbs of Harare. An afternoon behind the scenes tour of Patrick Mavros studio and a briefing with your private guide on the journey ahead.

Our Signature Safari is led by the original guiding team for the Grand Tour recce trips and will set up your private campsite exactly where the lads camped the night in Nyanga National Park. This expedition safari style is a supremely comfortable way to camp, in one of the country’s most pictureque locations.

Drive across the Pungwe and to the Sky Walk and Sky Line before arriving to the luxurious Sky Deck Mountain Retreat for a night which started it all.

A final Eastern Highlands pit stop at the famous Flamboyant, near the tea plantations of Honde Valley before returning to Harare. Late afternoon dive into the belly of Harare, as Jeremy described “as singing, melting pot of busyness and joy”

Early morning departure to UNESCO World Heritage Site, Mana Pools National Park. Arrive to your private campsite on the banks of the Zambezi River. Spend the next few days in search of big game, on foot, by road with your professional guide. Safari is best experienced in a tent, and it doesn’t get much better than this!

The great road trip continues west to Lake Kariba. Your crew awaits on a private houseboat to explore this incredible scenic lake, noted for it’s rich birdlife and big game that you’ll see dotting the shoreline in Matusadona National Park. Relax and enjoy a spot of fishing and peaceful few nights, slightly more comfortable than the lads did!

One final night on Kariba, as your vehicles arrive to the southern side of the lake. Dinner and drinks lakeside in preparation for an early start!

Embark on a full day 4×4 with your guides through this lesser known and beatuiful, bucolic Zimbabwean countryside, where you’ll be greeted by smiling faces, as well as Tonga craftsman selling their wooden wares along the way. Arrive to Simwenge River Lodge, which will be exclusively yours. A sunset cruise with fully stocked cooler box will be your roadtrip reward.

The expedition reaches its conclusion at the Victoria Falls, and your home will be the historic Grande Dame itself, The Victoria Falls Hotel, which features in the show. Hit all the highlights, including a sunrise tour of the bridge, walk around Victoria Falls and drink at the hotel bar. Not to miss as well is dinner at The Dusty Road, a drink at The River Brewing Company, favorites of the crew.
